Saturn 7.5-year phase for natal Moon.

What this tells you

Sade Sati is Saturn's transit through the 12th, 1st and 2nd signs from the natal Moon sign. This endpoint answers one question for one moment: which phase, if any, is running. It compares Saturn's sidereal sign at the transit moment with the natal Moon's sidereal sign. Only signs are compared; the response has no start or end dates. The natal chart is read from birth.date, birth.time and birth.tz. The transit moment is read from date, time and tz, and defaults to now when date is omitted.

`birth.date` and `birth.tz` are required. If you pass `date`, `tz` is required too. Location is not used. Saturn in the 4th or 8th sign from the Moon (Small Panoti / Dhaiya) is covered by /v1/transit/small-panoti.

Field reference

at_jd	number	Julian Day (UT) of the transit moment. When `date` is omitted this is the current time. example: `2461420.520833`
sade_sati.status	string	Phase at the transit moment: "rising" (Saturn in the 12th sign from the natal Moon), "peak" (Saturn in the natal Moon sign), "setting" (Saturn in the 2nd sign from the natal Moon) or "clear" (not in Sade Sati). example: `"clear"` Jyotish: Rising is said to bring mental strain and expenses, peak affects health and self, setting affects finances and family. The full cycle (rising + peak + setting) lasts about 7.5 years, roughly 2.5 years per phase.

How to use it

Headline metric
If `status` is not "clear", lead with the phase. For the dated timeline of past, current and future Sade Sati windows, use /v1/reports/sade-sati.
Phase matters
Rising (12th) is read as mental strain, peak (1st) as health and self, setting (2nd) as finances. Tailor your UI copy to the phase.
Pass the birth time
The natal Moon can change sign within a day. `birth.time` defaults to 12:00 when omitted, so pass the real birth time.

Errors

Every error follows the same envelope. Use the error.code field (not the message) for conditional logic in your integration.
