/v1/dasha/yogini

Yogini Dasha full schedule.

What this tells you

Yogini Dasha is a 36-year cycle of 8 Yoginis, each linked to a planet. Like Vimshottari, it starts from the Moon's nakshatra at birth. The starting Yogini comes from the birth nakshatra number (Ashwini = 1): add 3, divide by 8, and the remainder gives the Yogini (1 = Mangala … 7 = Siddha, 0 = Sankata). The first period starts before birth by the part of the nakshatra the Moon had already covered. Its periods are much shorter than Vimshottari's, which makes it useful as a second timing check.

maha_dasha covers one 36-year cycle only, starting with the birth Yogini. For moments after that cycle ends, use /v1/dasha/yogini/current, which continues into later cycles. Pass depth=2 to get each period's Antar Dashas in `sub_periods`; a depth outside 1–2 returns 400.

Usage tips

How to use it

  • Complementary to Vimshottari
Use both systems together. When Vimshottari and Yogini point to the same theme, the reading is stronger.
  • Show the planet with the Yogini
Display "Ulka (Saturn)". Most users know the planet better than the Yogini name.
