/v1/chart/kundli-facts

Whole birth chart as data in one call: lagna, planets (sign, degree, house, nakshatra, pada, retrograde, combust, dignity, neecha bhanga, vargottama, houses ruled, shadbala, avastha, varga placements), houses (sign, lord, SAV, bhava bala, occupants, aspects), chara karakas, avakhada, and optionally yogas and doshas.

What this tells you

One call for the chart facts that otherwise take a dozen /v1/chart/* calls: lagna, every graha with its sign, degree, house, nakshatra, dignity, combustion, retrogression, neecha bhanga, vargottama, houses ruled, shadbala, avastha and varga placements; every house with its lord, SAV bindus, bhava bala, occupants and aspects; Jaimini chara karakas and the avakhada chakra. Add include=yogas (or all) to get the /v1/chart/yogas and /v1/chart/doshas items in the same response. Every number comes from the same functions as the individual routes, so it matches them exactly. Ids only, no localized text: planet ids sun, moon, mars, mercury, jupiter, venus, saturn, rahu, ketu; sign_index is 0-based (0 = Aries … 11 = Pisces); house is the 1-based whole-sign house from the lagna; nakshatra index is 0-based (0 = Ashwini … 26 = Revati).

Birth details are unprefixed: `date`, `time`, `tz`, `lat`, `lon` (time defaults to 12:00). `gender` (male/female) only narrows Mahabhagya when yogas are included.

Field reference

Every field in the response, with its type, a real example, and what it means.

FieldTypeMeaning
date, time, tz, locationstring / object
Birth details you sent (unprefixed `date`, `time`, `tz`, `lat`, `lon`), echoed back. `time` is "12:00" when you leave it out.
example: "1990-01-15", "10:30", "Asia/Kolkata"
ayanamsa, ayanamsa_valuestring, number
Ayanamsa used (default lahiri) and its value in degrees at the birth moment.
example: "lahiri", 23.71795
house_systemstring
Always whole_sign: every `house` here is counted by whole signs from the lagna.
example: "whole_sign"
conventionsobject
The units and index conventions of this response, spelled out in the response itself.
example: { "sign_index": "0-based, Aries=0 ... Pisces=11 (D1 and every varga)", … }
included, vargasstring[]
Optional sections that were computed (`include`, default all except yogas) and the vargas returned under planets[].varga (`vargas`, default D9).
example: ["shadbala", "bhavabala", …], ["D9"]
lagnaobject
Ascendant: sign, degree in sign, sidereal longitude, nakshatra, pada, sign lord and nakshatra lord.
example: { "sign_index": 10, "deg_in_sign": 26.391667, "nakshatra_idx": 24, "pada": 2, "lord": "saturn", … }
planets[]array (9 items)
One row per graha, sun to ketu.
example: [{ "id": "sun", … }, …]
planets[].sign_index, deg_in_sign, sidereal_lon, houseinteger, number, number, integer
Sign (0-based), degree within the sign, sidereal longitude and whole-sign house (1-based).
example: 9, 1.063319, 271.063319, 12
planets[].nakshatra_idx, pada, nakshatra_lordinteger, integer, string
Nakshatra (0-based), pada (1–4) and nakshatra lord.
example: 20, 2, "sun"
planets[].is_retro, is_combust, dignity, is_debilitated, neecha_bhanga, vargottamaboolean / string
Same values as /v1/chart/planets, /v1/chart/combustion and /v1/chart/dignity, plus neecha bhanga and vargottama (same sign in D1 and D9).
example: false, false, "enemy", false, false, true
planets[].lord_ofinteger[]
Houses whose sign this graha rules.
example: [7]
planets[].shadbalaobject
Shadbala total in shashtiamshas (60 = 1 rupa), the classical minimum and whether it is met. Seven grahas only; Rahu and Ketu are listed in skipped.
example: { "rupas": 5.81, "total": 348.61, "required_min": 390, "is_strong": false, "dig_bala": 49.37 }
planets[].avasthaobject
Baladi, Jagradadi and Deeptadi avasthas.
example: { "baladi": "Mrita", "jagradadi": "Sushupta", "deeptadi": "Vikala" }
planets[].vargaobject
Placement in each requested varga: sign, house from the varga lagna and sign-level dignity.
example: { "D9": { "sign_index": 9, "house": 9, "dignity": "enemy" } }
houses[]array (12 items)
Each whole-sign house: sign, lord, Sarvashtakavarga bindus, bhava bala, occupants and the grahas aspecting it.
example: [{ "house": 1, "sign_index": 10, "lord": "saturn", "sav": 28, "bhava_bala": 379.77, "occupants": [], "aspected_by": ["moon", "mars"] }, …]
sav_total, shadbala_versioninteger, string
Sum of SAV bindus (always 337) and the shadbala method version.
example: 337, "v2_bphs"
karakasobject
Jaimini chara karakas, 7-karaka scheme (Atmakaraka to Darakaraka).
example: { "scheme": "saptagraha", "atmakaraka": { "planet": "mars", "deg_in_sign": 25.98352 }, … }
avakhadaobject
Avakhada chakra, as /v1/chart/avakhada.
example: { "varna": "Kshatriya", "yoni": "Mushaka", "gana": "Manushya", "nadi": "Madhya", … }
skippedobject
Every field that could not be computed, as {field: reason}. Empty object when nothing was skipped.
example: { "planets.rahu.shadbala": "shadbala is defined for the seven grahas only" }

Usage tips

How to use it

  • Replace many calls
    The default call (D9, no yogas) replaces planets, ascendant, houses, dignity, combustion, house-occupants, aspects, shadbala, bhavabala, ashtakvarga, avakhada and divisional/D9 — about 180 credits of separate calls — for 50 credits.
  • Choose sections and vargas
    include takes a comma list (shadbala, bhavabala, ashtakvarga, aspects, avastha, karakas, avakhada, yogas, all). vargas takes up to 16 of D2…D60 (or names such as navamsa); D1 is rejected because the planets already carry it.
  • Build your own reading
    Because everything is ids and numbers, you can render the chart, drive your own rule engine or feed an LLM prompt without parsing text. Map sign_index, nakshatra_idx and planet ids to names in your own language.
  • Read skipped
    Fields that cannot be computed (for example shadbala for Rahu and Ketu) are absent from the rows and listed in skipped, so a missing key is never silent.
